Severe Weather Update for 11/29 to 11/30 #2

The National Weather Service has increased the threat level for western parts of Lee County. Areas of Waverly and Loachapoka are in a slight risk (level 2 out of 5 risk) and Auburn, Opelika, Beauregard, Beulah, Smiths Station, Salem and other county areas remain in a marginal risk (level 1 out of 5)

POTENTIAL THREATS:
The primary threats for the first batch of storms that will be over our area this evening with consist of large hail and gusty winds. During the late overnight hours between 3a.m. and 8a.m. CST will be the time frame where storms could have the right factors in place for a tornado.

ALERTS:
Always make sure to have multiple reliable ways to receive weather notifications should a watch or warning be issued this evening or during the overnight hours. Tis the Season for various yard decorations, make sure that yard decorations are secured in place or brought inside since throughout this evening and tonight we will have breezy conditions with some strong gust of wind.
